Dec 8, 2017 · REAR main oil leak. i just had my car in the Audi workshop to fix the cooling valve in my transmission. Almost $2500 later it was fixed. When they were looking over my car they told me I had a rear main oil leak, apparently it’s a big job and is going to cost $10,200 to repair.

Regards rear differential, I had this and transmission on my old V6 done by local mechanic as he has 4-post lift which is crucial given the car needs to be level. Rear diff took just under 2 litres (B5 model).
Sep 23, 2015 · my a6 c6 4f2 s-line 3.0 v6 tdi auto has just hit 80k miles only owned abt 18 months and all of sudden im thinking of changing transmission fluid and haldex fluid I have phoned audi and they told me that it doesnt get changed ever as they are sealed for life units and when they entered my reg there was no option to change gearbox oil or haldex oil

Apr 7, 2016 · Step 4 – Refill engine with oil. Tighten the drain plug, then install the lower panel. Use your funnel to avoid any mess, then fill the engine with oil through the filler hole. The owner's manual recommends 4.9 quarts of oil. Fill the engine with oil, start the engine for 30 seconds, then check the dipstick to check the level.
Jul 19, 2017 · The G055 162 A2 bottle has blue color fluid inside. Audi A6 C6 with O9L transmission Model year 2005-2007 use ATF p/n G 055 005 A2. Model year 2008 and up will use ATF p/n G 055 162 A2. If you drain transmission fluid G 055 005 A2, you can refill with G 055 162 A2 but not the other way around.

Dec 25, 2019 · Since the rear differential fluid gear oil is thicker it is best to get the rear differential fluid warm before draining it. This can be done by taking your car for a quick 10-15 minute drive. This will allow the rear differential and the viscosity of the fluid to get thinner and flow more easily from the rear differential when drained.

Feb 8, 2006 · Motul makes 'Motyl Gear' and 'Gear 300'. Both are synthetic 75w-90 and meet "API GL4 and GL5/MIL-L-2105C", but the first is a blend while the latter is ester based. Then there's the issue of wether my '00 has a star socket or jsut the regular 17mm hex (like our older Audi manuals). Again, this should be in the manual, but I haven't checked yet.
